Job DescriptionJunior Developers at OPS are responsible for developing high quality applications primarily within the Microsoft stack or products. They are comfortable working in a client-oriented, professional services environment, where the primary goal is to develop and implement feasible solutions to complex business issues. Custom software solutions for our clients can involve work flow, analytics, decision support, reporting dashboards and reporting portals. Working under Senior Technical Leads, Junior Developers have excellent opportunities for development in a dynamic and progressive environment.
Major Responsibilities:
- Technology Expertise: Experience with C#, .NET (preferably Windows Forms), SQL Server development and the SharePoint? platform, have problem solving and communication skills, and be comfortable in a hands-on capacity at all levels of design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Project Management: Junior Developers have a key role in supporting overall project management goals via individual task management.
- Individual Contributor: Based on an area of technical or other relevant subject matter expertise a Junior Developer is expected to develop this in agreed timeframes.
Other Responsibilities:
- Methodology and toolkit development - OPS consistently performs high-quality technical work, supported by strong software development processes, knowledge transfer and knowledge management practices, and intelligent reuse of analytical and development frameworks. The Junior Developer is expected to contribute to areas for improvement, and to add to the body of knowledge available to OPS staff.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements (Please do not apply if you do not meet all of these criteria):
- One to two years of professional development experience in a consulting practice with the following technologies (certification preferred):
- SQL Server (SSRS and SSIS).
- .Net Programming (using c#, vb.net and Windows Forms/Windows Presentation Foundation)
- SharePoint?.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools.
- Knowledge of relational data models, data modeling, database programming, and SQL.
- A minimum of one to two years’ industry experience (Healthcare/Pharma/Life Sciences preferred).
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Physics, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or Related Major.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Solid testing skills.
- Strong Documentation skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to write clearly to create technical documentation that explains the design, development, testing, and maintenance of your applications.
Additional Requirements- In the absence of certifications, you may need to complete online tests to demonstrate competency.
